My students use the library daily during independent reading time, literacy centers, and choice reading. One of my favorite moments was watching students excitedly recommend books to one another—several even created handwritten \"You should read this!\" notes to leave inside books for the next reader. These small interactions have sparked authentic conversations about stories, characters, and favorite genres.\r\nWhen students first saw the Little Free Library, their reactions were pure excitement. Many immediately asked, \"Can we take one home?\" or \"Can I bring a book to share?\" For some students, this was the first time they felt ownership over choosing a book just for enjoyment. Seeing their pride and eagerness to read reminded me how powerful access to books can be in building confidence and a love of reading.\r\nNext, students will continue using the library to support our current reading lessons by selecting texts that match their interests and reading levels. We are working on setting personal reading goals, writing brief book reflections, and practicing retelling and discussion skills using books from the library. Most importantly, students are learning that reading isn't just something we do at school—it's something that belongs to them. Thanks to your generosity, literacy truly lives here.","fullyFundedDate":1755798027880,"projectUrl":"project/literacy-lives-here-a-little-free-libra/9445072/","projectTitle":"Literacy Lives Here: A Little Free Library for Our School","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pesina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8099434"},{"teacherId":3660459,"projectId":9277783,"letterContent":"Our school year is off to a great start thanks to all the prizes that were donated to my class!!
