My students were so excited to see headphones that they could use to listen and complete their work individually. This really helps them with self-esteem because when they are taking a test, they do not have to ask the teacher to read questions to them in front of their peers, they can select what they want read to them and listen to it with their headphones. I have seen quite a few of my students scores improve since using them. \r\n\r\nThe loose leaf paper is helping students with their note taking and writing skills. This is a 6th grade science class and their first year in middle school. For many of my students, this is the first time that they have to really take notes. It is helping to develop their motor skills, critical thinking, organization, and memory. By having my students summarize information in their own words, it forces them to process the information deeper and helps them better grasp concepts.
