Many of our students didn't realize just how many Spanish-speaking countries there are. Now, they walk into our school pointing out the different flags, asking questions, and sharing what they've learned with their classmates.\r\n\r\nThe posters showcasing Hispanic leaders and role models made a powerful impact. Our students were inspired to choose someone who resonated with them, write about that person, and reflect on how they could follow in their footsteps. \r\n\r\nThe books we received have been incredibly special. They gave our students mirrors to see themselves and their families in the stories—and windows into the lives of others. We used these books to write about our own cultures, traditions, and journeys. \r\n\r\nMost importantly, this project helped our students feel seen, valued, and proud of who they are. Their voices are stronger, their curiosity is blooming, and their sense of identity is shining.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible for our entire school community. They are also using the pillows during nap to make their rest time more comfortable. \r\n The kids absolutely loved the chairs and a chance to choose the color of their pillow that will sit on. \r\n I am currently looking to start a science project to add more science in the classroom. We as a prek-3 classroom do not have a lot of science materials.
