Our class set of headphones ensured that every student got to experience learning in a variety of ways. It also reduced the stress of providing the tools needed to accommodate students for state testing.\r\n\r\nThe fidget bands allowed students to focus while also getting to move their bodies. Students loved the fidget bands so much that they would trade out chairs that did not have them because it allowed them to quietly relieve some restlessness from sitting the majority of the day. \r\n\r\nMy dyslexic students had never seen a color reader before, so they were very excited to use something other than their finger to help them follow along in text.\r\n\r\nOverall, the tools provided made a huge difference in our classroom who is heavily populated with ESL and dyslexic students. These are not just toys—they are powerful learning tools that have allowed our students to combine art, math, problem-solving, and teamwork in ways we had never experienced before. The moment the cubes arrived, excitement buzzed through our school. Students couldn't wait to open the boxes and start experimenting. \r\n\r\nSince receiving the cubes, our students have completed five full mosaic projects. Each one has been more ambitious and collaborative than the last. From designing pixelated renderings of our school mascot and logo to the creation of favorite animals, the students have poured their energy, creativity, and critical thinking into every project. They've learned to deconstruct images into pixel patterns, strategize color placement, and work together with shared goals and timelines.\r\n\r\nWhat's been most inspiring is how the project has drawn in students who don't typically see themselves as \"artists\" or \"math people.\" The Rubik's cube mosaic art appeals to a wide variety of learners—visual, kinesthetic, analytical—and has become a unifying activity that bridges traditional academic divides. It fosters persistence and patience, too, as students must often try several configurations before the cubes align just right.\r\n\r\nBeyond the technical skills, this project has given our students a sense of ownership and pride. They love showing off the completed mosaics to their peers, teachers, and families. We've displayed them throughout the school, and the feedback has been incredible.
