The clay, glazes, ceramic printing ink, and bisque mugs you provided have opened doors that were previously closed for many of them.\r\n\r\nStudents have been actively engaged in handbuilding, experimenting with texture and form, and discovering how glazes interact through the firing process. They've learned to plan, problem-solve, and embrace both mistakes and successes as part of the creative journey. The addition of ceramic printing ink has been especially exciting, allowing students to transfer their own drawings onto clay and connect their ideas across different art forms.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your donation made inclusion a reality. Students with fine motor challenges, who might otherwise have struggled to fully participate, were able to glaze and design pre-made mugs. Instead of watching from the sidelines, they became active artists in the classroom. The pride on their faces as they held their finished, functional pieces was truly unforgettable.\r\n\r\nThese projects didn't just teach artistic skills. They built confidence, patience, and a sense of accomplishment. Students took home work they were proud of, tangible reminders that their creativity matters and that they are capable of making something meaningful.\r\n\r\nYour support sent a powerful message to my students: their ideas, their efforts, and their voices are valued.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this experience possible and for investing in the creativity and confidence of my students. All the students were very excited to see the materials. Students were able to make their drinks in kitchen labs, where they did hands-on learning on color, presentation, and taste, then when finished each student was be able to take their drink with them.\r\n\r\n Students were so happy to show off the drink to other students at the school. Next, my classes will start learning about baking (breads, cupcakes, and ect.) then desserts where students will be working with color(s), taste, and presentation. Because of you, a class that was once close to disappearing is now full of clay-covered hands, focused faces, and a renewed sense of possibility.\r\n\r\nOur school is a Title I campus, and many of my students have limited access to creative materials outside the classroom. Your donation provided the clay and glazes we needed to offer them a true ceramics experience. Students are now learning advanced glazing techniques, experimenting with color and texture, and creating functional and expressive pieces they are genuinely proud of.\r\n\r\nCeramics teaches far more than art skills. I have watched students practice patience as they rebuild a collapsed form, problem-solve when a glaze doesn't fire as expected, and gain confidence as they hold a finished piece they never thought they could make. For some students, this class has become a calm and grounding space in their school day. For others, it has sparked interest in future careers in the arts and design.\r\n\r\nYour support also made our classroom more inclusive. With access to appropriate materials, all students, including those with special needs, were able to participate meaningfully and experience success through hands-on learning and glazing techniques.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our ceramics program is not just surviving — it is growing.
