Your generosity provided items that will help students feel calm, comfortable, and ready to learn in the classroom.\r\n\r\nThe slow-rising stress cubes, headphones, cushions, and fruit snacks may seem like simple items, but they can make a meaningful difference for a student who needs a little extra support to feel successful at school. These tools give my students different ways to manage distractions, regulate their emotions, stay comfortable, and refocus when they are having a difficult day.\r\n\r\nEvery child deserves to feel safe, supported, and capable of learning. Your donation helps me create a classroom where students' individual needs are recognized and where they have tools available to help them be successful.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and for helping make our classroom a more supportive and caring place to learn. My students were so excited to see them, and they have quickly become more than just another classroom supply. We use them to get students up, working together, explaining their thinking, and learning from each other. Instead of everyone sitting at a desk completing the same paper, students can now work through a question as a team, change their thinking, erase mistakes, and try again.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite things has been watching students become more willing to share their ideas. The boards make learning feel less permanent and a lot less intimidating. Students who may hesitate to put an answer on paper are much more willing to write an idea on the board, talk it through with their group, and make changes as they learn. We are using them across subjects, from working with reading passages and text evidence to solving problems and organizing our thinking.\r\n\r\nThis is exactly the kind of classroom I hoped to create when I wrote this project. As the year continues, my students will use these boards to take on more challenging tasks, explain their thinking more clearly, and become more independent and confident learners. Thank you for giving them a space where their thinking can be seen, shared, changed, and celebrated. Your support truly made a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1778234184839,"projectUrl":"project/from-passive-to-powerful-building-think/10253234/","projectTitle":"From Passive to Powerful: Building Thinkers in Every Subject","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Minus","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8499961_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1655418775752","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8499961"},{"teacherId":9010005,"projectId":9861892,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous donations, the snacks provided are being used as meaningful incentives to motivate students to complete their Zearn lessons, homework, and demonstrate academic growth. They have become a powerful tool in encouraging effort and celebrating progress in the classroom. Additionally, on days when students may arrive late or without having eaten, a quick snack helps them refocus and fully engage in learning. These resources are not only supporting academic success but also helping meet students' basic needs so they can perform at their best each day.\r\n\r\nThe snacks helped reinforce their motivation to do their best. Students showed pride in their efforts and were excited to continue meeting expectations so they could earn rewards like this again. It created a positive connection between their hard work, good behavior, and celebrating their success.\r\n\r\nThank you for creating a classroom full of excitement, motivation, and a love for learning. Your support helps provide meaningful incentives that encourage students to stay focused, work hard, and take pride in their progress.
