The supplies have made a difference in my classroom. I have seen a previous reluctance to participate in class become an eagerness and excitement to work on Algebra. The students use the small dry erase boards and the dry erase markers to work through problems and collaborate on new concepts. This has resulted in an increase in scores on the last unit test the classes took.\r\nThe use of the iPad in class, to present lessons, allows me to move around the room to give assistance where needed. Prior to using the iPad I was at the front, writing on the board, blocking the vision of 4-8 students depending on where I stood. It also kept me from being with the students, in closer proximity. By moving around it gives students more opportunity to ask questions when I'm near, allows me to use my presence to encourage student engagement and gives me a chance to make personal connections with each student.
