The Chomp Cardboard Saw you provided has already become an essential tool in our engineering lessons, especially as students work through our current project: designing ways to save the ancient wonders of the world. I'm excited to share how we are using the tool, how the students reacted to it, and what the next steps look like for our growing team of young engineers and historians.\r\n\r\nThis year, our interdisciplinary unit challenges students to investigate the ancient wonders—structures like the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Lighthouse of Alexandria, and the Statue of Zeus at Olympia—and imagine modern engineering solutions that could have saved them from destruction. Students study the history, analyze the threats these wonders faced, and then use STEM skills to design prototypes of protective structures, rebuilt versions, or systems that could have prevented deterioration.\r\n\r\nThe Chomp Cardboard Saw has transformed that process. Instead of struggling with scissors or giving up when cardboard refused to cooperate, my students can now cut out precise support beams, curved reinforcements, arches, and angled foundations. \r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our classroom.
