We aim to promote reading, responsibility, and self-efficacy as students earn their book vending machine tokens.\r\n\r\nStudents have delighted in purchasing their own books. The agency of earning and selecting one's own reading material has been well-researched as an important aspect of growing literacy skills. Since the inauguration of the book vending machine in early October, approximately 50 of our 465 students have met the qualifications to earn tokens.
