The resources you provided—snacks, drinks, cool pens, math supplies, and more—are being used as part of our classroom store system. This store has become a powerful motivator for our students, encouraging positive behavior, effort, and academic engagement. Students eagerly work toward earning rewards, which helps set the tone for productive and focused learning.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful moments came when students were able to \"shop\" for the new items like chocolate bars, slime (their favorite), takis (also a favorite) and the hello kitty themed pens. Their excitement was undeniable—they took pride in their hard work and carefully selected items they had earned. It created a sense of ownership and accomplishment that carried over into their academic tasks. At the same time, the math supplies like the mechanical pencils and graphing sticky notes have been actively used during lessons, helping students build confidence and independence as they tackle challenging concepts.\r\n\r\nThe sensory items like the trace your feelings board, and the little spot of emotion book have also made a significant impact, especially during this intense testing season. Many of our students use these tools to regulate their emotions, stay focused, and take meaningful breaks when needed. This has helped create a calmer, more supportive learning environment where students can reset and return ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their reactions were full of excitement and gratitude. They immediately recognized that these resources were meant to support them, and it sparked a renewed enthusiasm for coming to class and doing their best. Since then, they have truly shined—both behaviorally and academically. In fact, our class was recently honored by our campus for meeting our benchmark goals, a huge accomplishment that reflects their hard work and growth.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will continue using these resources to reinforce positive behaviors, support emotional regulation, and enhance instruction. As we move forward with our lessons and prepare for continued academic challenges, these materials will remain an essential part of keeping students engaged, confident, and successful.\r\n\r\nNone of this would have been possible without your support. Your generosity has made a lasting impact on our classroom, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunities you have given our students to thrive.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in us!","fullyFundedDate":1769395099823,"projectUrl":"project/small-group-tools-for-big-learning-gains/10057811/","projectTitle":"Small Group Tools for Big Learning Gains","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dollins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8778376_orig.jpg?crop=480,480,x0,y97&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1682002849357","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8778376"},{"teacherId":8778376,"projectId":9631065,"letterContent":"We extend our deepest gratitude for your incredibly generous donation to our classroom. Your commitment to supporting economically disadvantaged students will have a profound and immediate impact on their educational experience this year. In our classroom, access to basic supplies often presents a significant barrier to learning, and your contribution ensures that every student will have the necessary resources—from quality writing utensils to hands-on learning tools—to engage fully with the curriculum without the stress of unmet personal needs. This funding is truly transformative, setting the stage for a year of focused academic growth and equitable opportunity.\r\n\r\nBeyond essential supplies, your donation is crucial for the success of our classroom's behavior and motivational structure: our token economy system. This system is not just a classroom management tool; it is an evidence-based intervention that is a documented, required support outlined in the Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) of many of our students. By funding the incentives and materials that drive this system, you are directly reinforcing positive adaptive behaviors, promoting task compliance, and fostering a dedicated learning environment. For students facing complex academic and behavioral challenges, this tangible system of motivation is the key to unlocking their focus and engagement, ensuring they are mentally and emotionally prepared to tackle grade-level expectations.\r\n\r\nThis single package of support you have provided will genuinely touch so many lives. It is more than just money or supplies—it is an investment in the potential of students who need it most. By removing financial obstacles and strengthening our ability to deliver mandated behavioral supports, you are empowering our students to believe in their own capabilities and push past perceived academic and behavioral limits. Thank you for partnering with us to create a classroom where every student, regardless of their background, can thrive and achieve academic success.","fullyFundedDate":1756558167174,"projectUrl":"project/motivating-matchless-minds/9631065/","projectTitle":"Motivating Matchless Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dollins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8778376_orig.jpg?crop=480,480,x0,y97&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1682002849357","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8778376"},{"teacherId":8778376,"projectId":9069844,"letterContent":"I can't begin to express how grateful I am for your generosity and support of my special education resource classroom. Your donations have made a lasting impact on my students—each one a bright, determined learner who sometimes just needs that extra little push to reach their full potential. The new resources you provided have helped bring our lessons to life and given my students the motivation and confidence to dive into challenging concepts like place value and multiplying decimals.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their faces absolutely lit up! They were so excited to explore and use the new tools, and it was incredible to watch their curiosity and engagement grow. These resources have helped me create a learning environment where students feel proud of their accomplishments. Their hard work has truly paid off—100% of my students met their goal on our most recent district-based assessment!
