My students and I use these resources daily, and they have already transformed our learning environment.\r\n\r\nBefore this project was funded, there was no whiteboard in my office. Now, I use our new whiteboard every single day when teaching my dyslexia groups. The wobble chairs have also been an absolute game-changer, especially for my students with ADHD. They allow students to bounce and wiggle productively while we work. The kids were so excited to try them out the moment I assembled them!\r\n\r\nFor my students with dysgraphia, the slant boards, specialized pencil grips, and grip-strengthening putty have made writing much more accessible. They use these tools during our small group sessions as well as in their general education classrooms. My students with dyslexia have also loved using the colored overlays to help track their place while reading.\r\n\r\nSome of our other favorite resources include the hands-on literacy centers: matching words and sentences to pictures, shaping letters and numbers out of play-doh, and building letter puzzles. Losing those materials was a heartbreaking setback for our students, who rely on the library daily as a place of discovery, comfort, and growth.\r\n\r\nYour donation of new books has allowed us to rebuild what was lost and expand our collection with wonderful, engaging titles. Beyond the physical books, your support has sent a powerful message to our students: that their education matters and that a caring community stands behind them. They help students stay focused, complete their work with fewer distractions, and give some students support when the classroom gets too loud by allowing them to put the headphones on and calm down. In a busy classroom, noise can sometimes make it difficult for students to concentrate, so having headphones has created a calmer and more productive learning environment for everyone.\r\n\r\nThe students were incredibly excited to receive them and immediately thought they were \"so cool.\" The students who had never used headphones before were especially excited and eager to try them out. They love being able to use them during independent work and educational programs. It has made learning feel more fun and engaging for them.\r\n\r\nI have also noticed that some students who are easily distracted or struggle to focus have especially benefited from the headphones. They are staying on task longer, participating more confidently, and completing assignments with greater independence.
