It has quickly become one of the most loved spots in our Writing Center.\r\n\r\nHow we are using the new resource:\r\nOur students use the writing table every day during center time. The new table has given them a dedicated space to sit together, share materials, and focus on their writing. One of my favorite moments was seeing two students side by side, helping each other write the first letter of their names—completely on their own!\r\n\r\nStudents' first reaction:\r\nWhen the children first walked into the room and saw the new writing table, their faces instantly lit up. They were excited to have a \"big kid\" space just for writing, drawing, and practicing their names.\r\n\r\nNext steps for our current project:\r\nWe are continuing to build our early writing skills by working on labeling pictures, tracing letters, and creating simple class books.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping make our classroom a place where students feel proud, creative, and excited to learn!","fullyFundedDate":1755747082033,"projectUrl":"project/little-writers-at-work/9555494/","projectTitle":"Little Writers at Work!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Guerrero","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6478382_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1726616426585","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6478382"},{"teacherId":5946438,"projectId":9312700,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping our little artists reach their full potential in art with all of the amazing new supplies we now have. The students thought it was the neatest thing when we got to open up all of the new and wonderful things to use while in the art studio. Of course, we had to try them all out to see how they work and what they look like on different papers. The artists have voice and choice over what media they choose to use for specific projects throughout the year and are loving the choices they now have to choose from. One student said, \"So many choices to choose from.\" We all enjoyed the excitement it brought back into the art studio with more choice on art supplies. \r\n\r\nWe all appreciate how through you our donors we are able to keep the excitement and the love alive while in the art studio. Students really do love having their voice be recognized through their choice of art media for the many different projects we do throughout the school year and now they can thanks to all of you. During the first few weeks of school we noticed all the birds that live in our school habitats. From hummingbirds to doves to hawks. Since we are studying kindness and respect, that lead to conversations about how we can help the birds in our area.\r\nThe students came up with a list of ways to keep our birds safe. The list included: being kind to animals and respecting them and their habitat, helping them find food and providing shelter for them. We are also making posters about wildlife we find and what we can do to protect our birds.\r\nWe have made an impact on our neighborhood bird population. My students set up feeding stations outside our classroom and created some bird houses. This has allowed us to observe the birds as we help them. We made drawings of the birds with information to educate our school about the wildlife we are helping protect. The project has been a great success and will continue to keep our students learning about kindness and respect for animals. We appreciate you helping our vision come to life as we create a classroom that loves science, animals and our environment.","fullyFundedDate":1746650823587,"projectUrl":"project/taking-care-of-our-neighborhood-birds-an/9299087/","projectTitle":"Taking Care of our Neighborhood Birds and their Habitat!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. G.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp104945_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1452215896239","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/cgarcia"},{"teacherId":8433349,"projectId":9138917,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! Your generosity has already made a big difference for my students. We've been using the new resources during testing, and they've helped students stay focused while keeping their work areas more organized.\r\n\r\nWhen the privacy covers first arrived, my students were excited and relieved. Before, they had been using folders to try to block their work during tests, which wasn't always easy or comfortable. After a few changes to my original order due to availability, I realized just how much our classroom needed this solution and it's been exactly what they needed.\r\n\r\nRight now, my students are working hard in third grade, which is such a highly tested year. With these new resources, they have a calmer and more peaceful environment where they can truly focus and do their best.\r\n\r\nWe're so grateful for your support in creating a learning space that helps our students feel confident and cared for.","fullyFundedDate":1746786436773,"projectUrl":"project/help-our-students-succeed-with-snacks-an/9138917/","projectTitle":"Help Our Students Succeed With Snacks and Books for Testing","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Galan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8433349_orig.jpg?crop=567,567,x693,y147&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1651543686810","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/fgalan"},{"teacherId":5946438,"projectId":8715389,"letterContent":"When I first noticed that someone out there somewhere in the world had spent their time and money to look at and give their hard earned funds to our school project I was blown away. This was our very first Donor's Choose project to post and I wasn't expecting much out of it, but we ended up with so much love that came our way from all over our own community and around the world. We were so overjoyed that someone cared enough about the arts and about us to contribute to our cause. I just wanted to say to you all a big Thank You so much for making this possible for all of my amazing little artists on campus. \r\n The day the boxes arrived and the office staff brought them to our classroom we were in awe at it all. We took a break from our regularly scheduled project we were working on and began opening the boxes and putting the supplies on the shelves they belonged to. We were running dangerously low on paper in the art studio and one student said \"Look, we have paper!\" I looked around to smiles from everyone. It was great and we felt seen and heard through the use of this wonderful platform with real people that really care.
