In a school with a tight budget, this resource is a game changer. Already, we've begun using it to enrich our learning experiences. I recently captured my students engaged in a storytelling activity with colorful visuals printed from our new device. These images have helped bring the stories to life, fostering creativity and deepening their love of reading.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, my students now have access to vibrant, interactive materials that were previously out of reach. Whether it's printing games for math, colorful images for environmental print, or character images for writing prompts, the possibilities are endless. You've empowered them to dream bigger and explore their creativity in new ways. \r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this possible. The science models immediately captured students' attention and brought life science concepts to life.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest successes has been the collection of detailed life cycle models featuring animals, insects, amphibians, and reptiles. These sets quickly became favorites among both students and teachers because they are durable, highly detailed, and easy for students to manipulate and explore independently. Students are naturally curious, and the models encourage observation, questioning, discussion, and deeper understanding of scientific concepts. The hydroponic garden and the root viewer were delivered damaged so to replace them I ordered more of the life cycle models because they've been so impactful. Because school is ending soon, DonorsChoose is waiting to order them until the fall when school resumes. Otherwise I'd include photos here.\r\n\r\nAll of the items from this project are reinforcing state objectives covered in the classroom. I've also paired library books with each station and those books are quickly checked out with excitement by students!\r\n\r\nI have the large plant life cycle magnets up for ESL lessons that I'm teaching Pre-K and kindergarten, but students across grade levels ask about them. There's been much discussion, curiosity, and learning about the plant life cycle as students are learning about it in classrooms then get the concept is reinforced in the library. That's the cool thing about the library, it's a place where inquiry-based learning truly takes place. And the plants section of books recently emptied because everyone wanted to borrow the plants books after our discussions sparked by the magnets. \r\n\r\nOur butterfly caterpillars are getting nice and fat and preparing to go into the pupa stage. Next to their habitat is the butterfly life cycle model. The model really helps students see (and feel) the different butterfly stages. Lots of questions and conversations have been buzzing and, of course, the butterfly and caterpillar books are now all checked out!\r\n\r\nThe excitement these resources generated has increased student engagement with elementary science standards and with literacy. They are strengthening their understanding of letters, sounds, syllables, and early reading skills in Spanish, while also developing foundational math skills such as counting, number recognition, working with numbers up to 1,200, and solving addition and subtraction problems.\r\n\r\nThese are critical building blocks for their future success. It allows me to create vibrant, engaging materials that help my students better understand letters, numbers, and routines. Many of my students are emergent bilingual learners, and having clear, colorful visuals has made a huge difference in their ability to connect words with meaning, follow directions, and build vocabulary with confidence. Learning has become more accessible, interactive, and joyful.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students has been seeing their learning come to life in color. Whether it's a bright alphabet chart, colorful math activities, or picture-rich storytelling materials, they are more eager to participate and take pride in their work. I've seen students who were once hesitant become more engaged and willing to try, simply because the materials feel inviting and fun. One of my quieter students now eagerly joins small group activities when we use colorful visuals, and another has begun recognizing letters more quickly thanks to the consistent use of color-coded supports.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, I'm now able to differentiate instruction more effectively, create targeted small group activities, and quickly adapt lessons to meet each child's needs. This has allowed me to be more responsive as a teacher and has helped my students build confidence, independence, and a love for learning at such an important early stage.\r\n\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in my classroom and for helping make learning brighter—literally and figuratively!","fullyFundedDate":1774963780390,"projectUrl":"project/color-me-smart-printing-brilliance-for/10055621/","projectTitle":"Color Me Smart: Printing Brilliance for Pre-K!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Azuara","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5818264_orig.jpg?crop=1179,1179,x0,y11&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1769187317441","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-azuara"},{"teacherId":10238051,"projectId":9978269,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my deepest and most sincere gratitude for the educational materials you kindly provided. Materials like Magna-Tiles, STEM building blocks, Play-Doh, and a veterinary play set allow them to learn in ways that feel natural and joyful. As students build structures, create pretend scenarios, and work together, they are developing early math and science concepts, strengthening fine motor skills, and practicing important social-emotional skills such as sharing, problem-solving, and communication.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most about these materials is that they can be used in many different ways. A simple set of building tiles can become a tower, a bridge, or an animal home, while the veterinary play set encourages empathy as students take turns caring for animals and role-playing real-life situations. Some of my quieter students especially thrive during center time, using play to express themselves, collaborate with peers, and build confidence without pressure.\r\n\r\nColor printer ink will also make a meaningful impact in our classroom.
