This year, my students will be celebrating International Dot Day in a much different way. International Dot Day is a yearly celebration based on Peter H. Reynold's children's book, \"The Dot.\" The book describes one little girl's journey to understanding that art starts by making a mark. Her teacher tells her to \"make a dot and see where it takes [her].\" \r\n\r\nThousands of students now celebrate Dot Day around September 15th. This year, on Tuesday, September 15th, my students will be using the resources that you provided to experience International Dot Day in a totally different way than we have in the past. \r\n\r\nWe have already began preparation for this fun-filled day by using several of the materials to create art that is now displayed on our campus. The students are having so much fun using the paint daubers that we received making dots on their ABCs. \r\n\r\nWe will continue the fun by using the round dot stickers donated to decorate and cover a completely white canopy tent, white paper walls, floor and other items outside in the sun where the light will shine through illuminating the colors and filling their vision with thousands of colorful dots. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generous donation.
