Students were so excited to learn how they could earn a snack by simply reading. Student interest was piqued, and curiosity was through the roof! As soon as the first kids said, \"Hey, Mrs., how do I earn a bag of Hot Cheetoes?\" I knew my idea was already working!\r\n\r\nOur library buzzes with excitement as students earn their prizes for reading 5 books from our reading challenge list. The love of reading is rewarded with treats, but the snacks are more than simple rewards; they are motivators! When one student reaches their snack goal, they get so excited and share how they were successful and which books they read. This is the exact outcome I hoped for!\r\n\r\nWe have also enjoyed the snacks in our monthly Eagle Reader club. Seeing students connect over their favorite books while enjoying a fun treat is only possible because of your generous donations. A little goodie can spark students' desire to choose reading even in the midst of their busy junior high lives!
