It's helped me out so much insuring my students work in a safe manner. We no longer have to worry with the donations. This school really stayed out really amazing due all the donors that made it happen. My students were truly amazed that so many people care and want them to succeed. My students are finishing up our project car and can't wait for it to hit the road! This school year could have been a challenging start. Most teachers at our school moved classrooms, and I personally began the year very ill. However, being able to start the year fully stocked without having to shop for days, hunting down back-to-school sales, etc., made it way smoother and more comfortable than it could have been. \r\nMy students have been using the new resources every day, and these gifts have really been beneficial to our classroom experience. For example, in one recent activity, students used the highlighters and various other items to visually identify the different components of an experiment. This hands-on approach was far more effective than previous lessons and simply wouldn't have been possible without your donation. I wish I could share more photos, but we often get so caught up in the lesson that I forget to capture the moments!\r\nLooking ahead, we're continuing this momentum with lessons that are engaging and make students think, not just answer questions. The resources you provided will really help them grow and understand the subject better as the year goes on.\r\nNot only are your gifts helping students learn, they are helping us stay healthy as well. The always needed cleaning supplies are perfect. We are able to keep the room germ free, as well as the computers that are shared in by all students. \r\nYour generosity is just simply amazing. There is nothing else I can say except another thank you. So, Thank you again for making this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1747195409189,"projectUrl":"project/back-to-basics-general-school-supplies/9267272/","projectTitle":"Back to Basics: General School Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wessner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3179700_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1541097176127","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-wessner"},{"teacherId":9705784,"projectId":8700986,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous donation, our classroom is buzzing with excitement! The pencils and sharpeners are being used daily in our lessons. They really helped students write clearly and confidently. The addition of the laminator has been a game-changer, allowing us to preserve important educational materials and create interactive, reusable learning tools. It's been especially helpful in making flashcards and visual aids that we can use over and over again.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, there was a wave of excitement! They were thrilled to have brand-new, functional pencils and sharpeners those are simple tools, but they made a big difference in their motivation and focus. The laminator, however, stole the show. The students were amazed by how it could transform their work into something polished and professional, sparking even more creativity as they began to think of new ways to use it.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're kicking off a new project where students will create portfolios to showcase their best work. The laminator will help preserve their top pieces, and the pencils and sharpeners will keep them prepared for every step of the process. This initiative will not only enhance their organizational skills but also help them take pride in their progress, something your contribution has made possible.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you so much for your support! These resources have already had a tremendous impact, and I'm excited to see the many ways they will continue to support our learning journey.","fullyFundedDate":1725910329633,"projectUrl":"project/empower-student-success-donate-pencils/8700986/","projectTitle":"Empower Student Success: Donate Pencils,sharpener and Laminator Today!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Barcial","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9705784_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724677912572","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9705784"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_105205","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1800,"numTeachers":171,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":93,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"10 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":68.6,"schoolId":105205,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Douglas MacArthur High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Douglas MacArthur High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/aldine-independent-school-district/macarthur-senior-high-school/105205"}
