When I did submit my project, I had one classroom which was for my 4th graders, however, in the summer, I received the news I was going to be teaching 5th grade as well and was going to have 2 classrooms. Because of your donations I was able to share the supplies with both of my classrooms. My 4th graders are always so excited to come to small group bc of the cushions that were provided, I've noticed they are more engaged in the lessons. \r\n\r\nMy 5th graders also have cushions but those are being used for a different purpose. They are being used in the calming center where students go if they are feeling big emotions, and the cushions provide comfortable seating for them to use. They also loved the lamps, they tend to engage and participate better when the classrooms lights are off but the lamps are on. My students are also very exciting for Fridays, to be able to play board games, they can use those if they did not receive any conduct marks through out the week.\r\nOnce again my students and myself are very thankful for your support in my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1746785966921,"projectUrl":"project/4th-grade-bilingual-classroom/9194604/","projectTitle":"4th Grade Bilingual Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tovares","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9581104"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_17479","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":525,"numTeachers":53,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":92,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"1 - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"9.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":36.1,"schoolId":17479,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Kenneth D Black Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Kenneth D Black Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/aldine-independent-school-district/kenneth-d-black-elementary-school/17479"}
