Many students come to class distracted or fatigued, and having access to snacks removed a basic barrier to learning. Once their immediate needs were met, students were more engaged, stayed on task longer, and showed greater persistence during challenging activities. \r\n\r\nBeyond academics, the snacks communicated care. Students were genuinely surprised that someone noticed their needs and took action to support them, which strengthened trust and classroom relationships.\r\n\r\n This sense of being valued increased motivation and pride in their work, especially during project-based learning.
