I also plan to use the cards to supply my curriculum with notes pages, card sorts and station activities that can be differentiated to meet the needs of all of my students-and their favorite-they do not have to listen to ME talk as much LOL! They all do, but this one was special. My student council ladies got together and pushed for this project and for the feminine items AND hygiene items to be made easily accessible in the restroom. We previously had students visit the nurse if they needed items.\r\n\r\nIt's taken a lot of communication and education to leave items out in the restroom and the students are handling it so well. SO MANY KIDS have told me what a COMFORT, or RELIEF it is. That they are so THANKFUL that these items are available if they forget theirs or run out.\r\n\r\nI'm humbled, constantly, when strangers (and our school family on this project, too!) give their own money to support students that they will never meet or know. You renew my faith in humanity and keep our drive to go good, alive.\r\n\r\nPlease know, my students are awesome, and this particular groups of ladies were so brave and bold. And we think that YOU ROCK, AND ARE BRAVE AND BOLD, TOO!\r\n\r\nWe were able to have enough for all 7th and 8th graders to have their own mini deodorant for their backpack or locker while having plenty left over to stock our nurse's cabinet! Your support may seem simple, but its impact reaches far beyond basic hygiene. For many of our students, having access to personal care items like deodorant is not guaranteed, and this project helped fill a real and immediate need.\r\n\r\nMiddle school is a time when students are becoming more aware of themselves and how they fit into the world around them. Something as small as deodorant can make a big difference in a student's confidence, comfort, and ability to focus in class. Because of you, our boys and girls can come to school feeling more secure and ready to learn, rather than worrying about something they cannot control.\r\n\r\nYour kindness also sends a powerful message to our students—that there are people in the world who care about their well-being and believe they deserve dignity and respect. This lesson is just as important as anything we teach academically. Many students were genuinely surprised and grateful to learn that strangers chose to support them in this way.\r\n\r\nThank you for seeing a need and taking action. Your generosity has made our school a more supportive and welcoming place, and it has positively affected students' daily lives in ways that truly matter.
