My classroom has recently been decorated for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This week, I allowed my students to help me decorate with my new items. They were so excited to be able to assist me with this project! I felt like their assistance would be beneficial due to the fact that they have been in this classroom for the past several months. \r\n We created a welcoming environment prior to entering the classroom and upon entering the classroom. We placed the \"welcome\" letters outside the door, decorated a board just inside the door with the \"hive rules\" posters (along with the classroom rules), placed the inspirational posters that came with the \"welcome\" posters on the cabinets around the room, and placed the inspirational vinyl decals on the walls around the room. I also place the skeleton poster on a large metal cabinet that was just the perfect size. I really feel that these new additions to the room will create a welcoming and inspirational space for my students next semester.
