They could not wait to explore the letter dice, magnetic letter tiles, and \"special\" markers. Since my students are just starting, we are working on letter names and sounds. \r\n\r\nWe used the dice to match letters and then we matched letters with a peer. They loved trying to find a match. \r\n\r\nThey were all excited when they found out the letter tiles stuck to the white board. It has brought new intrest to our writing area. Every day they can't wait to have a turn at playiong with the letters! We have started to write basic lines and curves with the dry erase markers. Our next steps are to practice the letters in their names.
