As items came in we discussed their purpose in the classroom and how students could access each item. It was an engaging part of our morning meeting, and students felt a sense of ownership as we made space for new items each week. \r\n\r\nWe appreciated the storage bins and it has made sorting books, toys, white boards, and math supplies much more effective. Everything has a place and students know where to find things. The small organization bin is the \" highlight\" of small groups because students get to use their own highlighters for finding sight words, spelling patterns, and words they know. Having a colorful page full of words they know how to read helps to make reading exciting.\r\n\r\nThe two favorite items have been the seat cushions and headphones! Students love finding a comfortable place on the rug or at their seat to access technology to read a story or solve a math problem! Everyone has a place of their own to work and learn and it has been an exciting addition to our classroom.\r\n\r\nI know that these items may seem small but they have made a huge impact in the learning culture and learning environment.
