Pairing STEM activities with books has been amazing. They have had so much fun with the STEM manipulatives! \r\n\r\nThis has been a tough year for everyone in our community. We had Hurricane Helena flooding which put us out of school for a month, as well as being out all of January for snow. We are finally back in school and hopefully it will be more consistent with the warmer weather coming. The children need the consistency more than ever. \r\n\r\nYou have brought joy and excitement to both of my schools (over 300 students). We have read The Wild Robot and made robots out of the supplies, Goldilocks and the Three Engineers and made contraptions, The Three Bears and built a strong house, among others things. I pull out the STEM manipulatives every chance I get. The students are so engaged and proud of their creations. You have also impacted my life by helping me fulfil my vision of a library being a place to hear and read good books and bring it alive with students activities. Furthermore, these materials will continue to bring smiles and excitement for years to come!\r\n\r\nSo, THANK YOU again...you will never know just how many lives you have and will touched with your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1729597468630,"projectUrl":"project/help-bring-the-library-to-life-with-stem/8675258/","projectTitle":"Help Bring the Library to Life With Stem Activities","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jarvis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9688275"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_92766","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":217,"numTeachers":13,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":95,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":3,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"16.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":70.0,"schoolId":92766,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Doe Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Doe Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/tennessee/johnson-county-school-district/doe-elementary-school/92766"}
