These resources have already made such a positive impact on my students. We use the seat cushions throughout the day, especially when students want to work somewhere other than their desks or when we sit together on the floor. The bean bags have quickly become a favorite during partner work and independent reading. They allow students to spread out around the classroom, get comfortable, and still stay focused on what we are learning.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when they first saw the new seating options! It may seem like something small, but having the opportunity to choose a comfortable place to work makes a big difference for middle school students. I have especially enjoyed seeing them grab a bean bag or cushion, find a spot with a partner, and get right to work. It has helped make our classroom feel less like a traditional classroom and more like a space that belongs to them.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, we will be doing a lot of partner reading, writing, and small-group work. These flexible seating options will continue to give my students different places to collaborate, read, brainstorm, and write together.
