Your donation provided our students with new and upgraded VEX robotics materials that are already allowing students to use parts that help them collaborate and problem-solve. With these new materials, students can build stronger, more complex robots, test their ideas, and collaborate in meaningful ways. VEX Robotics allows students to explore engineering, mathematics, coding, and critical thinking in a hands-on, engaging environment that gets them excited to learn. \r\n\r\nVEX materials allow students to take what they learn in class and put it to use. They practice math by calculating measurements and gear ratios, strengthen their coding skills by programming their robots, and develop engineering skills as they design, build, and improve their robots. Most importantly, students learn how to collaborate with others, problem-solve, and persistence on how to get something done correctly. \r\n\r\nThe students are most excited about how much more they can build and create with our new materials. The new VEX parts give them more possibilities than they had before. It allows them to come up with more complex builds and challenge themselves to see their ideas come to life. Several students have already jumped in and investigated how the parts work together. They have explored ideas for robots they can create and have helped encourage other students to get excited about this class.
