This project was able to help 5 classrooms. Each classroom was given a few days to play and explore the different centers set up in the Glow in the Dark room. The students were able to practice sharing and cooperation while using the glow in the dark track. They loved the battery operated flashing cars. They were able explore using their senses with the glow in the dark pluffle. The glow in the dark beads gave them great fine motor practice as they make their bracelets with the beads and pipe cleaners. The students were able to work on so many different skills in such a different and unique way. The Tree House Imagination Builders have been so much fun to have in our Block Center. The students have been looking at a picture and trying to build the same tree fort or using STEM skills to build their own creations. The students have to work on sharing the pieces and work together to build. They plan together. They practice language and communication skills with each other. They practice persistence when their creation falls or doesn't work out like they thought. These Tree Imagination Buikder shave helped the students work on so many skills. We have enjoyed using the wood tree building pieces to build tree models over and over. The Cheerful Tree Birds and Blocks have been great for fine motor and STEM skills when building different perches for the birds. The students have also enjoyed using the wood trees and forest animals in the sensory table with fall colored rice. In the art area the tree rollers have been fun to for the students to roll and see all the images that appear. The Tree Study materials have been so successful in helping the students play and learn in all areas of the classroom! My students' favorite part of the day is free play and they loved these knew materials. Unfortunately, we had to pick replacement items for part of the project resources but found some that could be used at the light table which still works on different senses. \r\nMy students had fun playing with the ice cubes and penguins in the sensory table. We added in cotton balls and made fun winter scenes.
