When students work with LEGOs, they are challenged to follow instructions, plan ahead, and think logically about how pieces fit together. Many of them have learned that if their design does not work the first time, they can make changes and try again instead of giving up. This trial-and-error process encourages persistence and flexibility in their thinking. LEGOs also spark creativity, as students often come up with their own solutions or new designs beyond what is given. Group LEGO projects have taught them how to collaborate, share ideas, and listen to one another while working toward a common goal. Students begin to see patterns and sequences, which strengthens their math and science skills. They also practice spatial reasoning as they rotate and move pieces to make their structures stronger. Overall, LEGO activities have made problem-solving fun while building confidence in my students. I have seen them become more independent thinkers who are willing to take risks and explore different solutions.\r\nI wish you could have seen their faces light up when I opened up the boxes!! We are so grateful for continuous support from donors like you.","fullyFundedDate":1742484097498,"projectUrl":"project/critical-thinking-with-stem-games-and-le/9130191/","projectTitle":"Critical Thinking With STEM Games and LEGO Kits in 3rd Grade!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Norman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7225326"},{"teacherId":7240998,"projectId":9121871,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous contribution of STEM materials for my classroom. These hands-on resources have allowed my students to learn in an interactive way that reaches more of their learning styles. The math games have been used many times in my small groups to help reinforce skills taught and for students to work on their targeted skills and goals. The set of headphones are used daily when students use online learning resources and work on research projects. Each time I would pull out a new game my students got so excited and were eager to play them. \r\n\r\nThe opportunity to learn through exploration, experimentation, and problem-solving is invaluable, and your donation has helped foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning that will last far beyond the classroom.
