The supplies have given them more opportunities to learn by doing rather than simply watching or listening. Students have been able to experiment, build, create, measure, test ideas, and work together to solve problems.\r\n\r\nThe LEGO sets and other building materials have encouraged students to use creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork. The science supplies, including cups, rulers, straws, plates, clay, magnets, and other materials, have allowed students to participate in hands-on experiments and investigations. The dry-erase boards have also made it easier for every student to actively share ideas, make predictions, and show their thinking.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest impacts has been student engagement. Students are excited when they get to use real materials and work with their classmates. They are learning that it is okay for an idea not to work the first time and that scientists and engineers learn by testing, making mistakes, and trying again.\r\n\r\nHaving enough materials for students to participate at the same time has made our classroom more collaborative and hands-on. These resources have helped my students become more confident learners while developing important skills such as communication, problem-solving, creativity, observation, and critical thinking. I am so thankful to the donors who helped make these learning experiences possible!","fullyFundedDate":1776113814338,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-learning-for-every-student/9984645/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Learning for Every Student","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hulscher","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9492145"},{"teacherId":10404511,"projectId":10022000,"letterContent":"I wanted to say thank you for donating to my classroom. My students have been so appreciative of your generosity with this donation. Some of the items we received were some of my students' favorite games with a deeper learning. Learning is always more enjoyable when there are games and hands on activities involved. It means a lot to my classroom and my students. \r\nThe organization totes have been incredibly beneficial to my classroom, as I do not have storage cabinets. This helps me keep my games, read aloud books, decodable books, and more in a neat fashion. My students helped me organize and put some of the items away and make sure they all came according to the description, which turned out great. \r\nThey again, were very pleased and excited to see the different leveled games that were donated to us. Games are their favorite way to learn and use their English to their best abilities. I truly believe that by playing games, even educational games, can help students come out of their comfort zone and really show their personality.","fullyFundedDate":1777994409289,"projectUrl":"project/esl-classroom/10022000/","projectTitle":"ESL Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Fairchild","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10404511_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770151167520","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10404511"},{"teacherId":7234305,"projectId":9102643,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to my project! When students work with LEGOs, they are challenged to follow instructions, plan ahead, and think logically about how pieces fit together. Many of them have learned that if their design does not work the first time, they can make changes and try again instead of giving up. This trial-and-error process encourages persistence and flexibility in their thinking. LEGOs also spark creativity, as students often come up with their own solutions or new designs beyond what is given. Group LEGO projects have taught them how to collaborate, share ideas, and listen to one another while working toward a common goal. Students begin to see patterns and sequences, which strengthens their math and science skills. They also practice spatial reasoning as they rotate and move pieces to make their structures stronger. Overall, LEGO activities have made problem-solving fun while building confidence in my students. I have seen them become more independent thinkers who are willing to take risks and explore different solutions.\r\nI wish you could have seen their faces light up when I opened up the boxes!! We are so grateful for continuous support from donors like you.","fullyFundedDate":1742484097498,"projectUrl":"project/critical-thinking-with-stem-games-and-le/9130191/","projectTitle":"Critical Thinking With STEM Games and LEGO Kits in 3rd Grade!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Norman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7225326"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_91771","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":302,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":55,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":63,"percentIndigenous":5,"percentLatinx":16,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":1,"percentMultiracialImputed":7,"gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":75.6,"schoolId":91771,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about O.M.
