The ones we had were being held together by tape and the feet had been glued on many times. I always have an abundance of violin shoulder rests, but never enough viola shoulder rests so they were also happy that they didn't have to rotate who got to use the shoulder rests. They were also very happy to see the rosin and loved that it sticks to our white board, and has protective casing, meaning we won't be going through rosin as quickly. The students use the rosin on a daily basis and get excited to rosin their bows because they get to use the \"cool\" rosin. Lastly, the strings meant that I didn't have to ask students to pay the school back for any broken strings. This was a relief as I started teaching my 8th graders to tune with their pegs and they are always afraid to break strings. \r\nWe use these materials almost every day (except for the strings, thankfully). It is also nice to have extras so I can keep some in my emergency bag when we have to travel for performances. The students also value and take care of these materials because they see how nice they are and the fact that someone was so generous to donate them to our school when the orchestra program hasn't received much in the past.
