My students were beyond excited when the magnetic tiles arrived. As soon as they saw the bright colors and shapes, they immediately wanted to start building and exploring. Their excitement quickly turned into focused engagement as they began creating towers, houses, and different 3D shapes together.\r\n\r\nWe are using the magnetic tiles during small group time, centers, and moments when students need support with focus and self-regulation. One special moment was during a class discussion when a student who often struggles to stay engaged quietly used the tiles to build while listening. He was able to stay seated, participate in the conversation, and proudly share what he created with the class. It was a wonderful example of how these hands-on materials help students stay calm, focused, and confident.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using the tiles during STEM activities and collaborative building challenges. Students will work together to design structures, explore shapes, and practice problem-solving while strengthening teamwork and communication skills. These materials are already making a positive impact, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to use them in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping create meaningful learning experiences for my students!","fullyFundedDate":1772907966851,"projectUrl":"project/magnetic-tiles-to-the-rescue/10014435/","projectTitle":"Magnetic Tiles to the Rescue","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Peterson-Wright","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5269772_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750968769756","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/thewrighteducator"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_6027","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":402,"numTeachers":34,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":86,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":5,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":68.6,"schoolId":6027,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about H.B.
