We use bubbles to encourage communication, eye contact, and turn-taking while blocks help students practice fine motor skills, creativity, and problem-solving. Bouncy balls provide opportunities to practice coordination and movement, while the rocker offers calming sensory input. These activities allow each student to participate at their own level while building important developmental skills.\r\n\r\nMy students were excited to explore the new materials! Their curiosity and enthusiasm made it wonderful to watch them discover new ways to play and learn. Seeing their smiles as they explored, practiced new skills, and interacted with their friends reminded me how important hands-on learning opportunities are for young children with special needs.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue incorporating these materials into structured outdoor learning activities that support communication, social interaction, motor development, and emotional regulation. We will practice taking turns with bubbles and balls, build structures with blocks, and use calming movement when students need help regulating their bodies. I look forward to watching my students grow in confidence, independence, and their ability to connect with others. Our library has matching books for each character. We no longer have to wait to check out our favorite(s) or ones that we're currently learning about. \r\nWith our new collection, we've been able to extend our love and learning of these stories. After reading the books as a class, students can listen to them with the Tonie box! Some of my friends aren't reading currently, but the Tonies help them with that!
