One of the core national AND state visual art standards charge art teachers to provide learning opportunities using a variety of art materials and to teach students different artistic processes using those different materials. The resources purchased by this DonorsChoose grant help me achieve this objective daily. Students learn by doing: creating, making, exploring, building. By going beyond just pencil and paper and using more specialized art materials such as brayers for printmaking and specialty paint for crayon resist mixed media artworks allows children to experience artmaking in new and unique ways. These learning opportunities will often be unique to their elementary education experience, especially if they choose not to pursue art as an elective in middle and high school. Also, the majority of my students do not have access to artmaking with a wide variety of materials outside of school. Your generosity is not just the gift of objects, but of experiences, knowledge, and memories. The projects created with these materials this year will lead to projects for next year, and so on. The effects will be lasting. Its amazing what some glue, paintbrushes, paint, and ink can do!","fullyFundedDate":1730679349563,"projectUrl":"project/drip-splatter-print-glue-draw/8636780/","projectTitle":"Drip! Splatter! Print!
