They were thrilled to get personal items to take home and use after a lesson on self care. The soaps, shampoo, lotion, body wash and toothpaste and toothbrushes were appreciated. The lip balm was the favorite and all students were able to receive at least one or more care packages. We used the products to discuss taking care of our bodies and how that makes us feel better when we feel clean and healthy. We wrote the steps about how to properly brush our teeth and used sequencing steps and ordeal writing to incorporate some of our state standards writing.
