Literally, the students were very proud to watch the butterflies go through such a magical transformation! From the day the butterfly eggs arrived, the students were instantly engaged. I love seeing them take ownership of the project! We had all 10 larvae successfully complete a chrysalis. However, only nine completed the metamorphosis.\r\n\r\nWe have a motto here at RISE Academy that says, \"We grow through what we go through!\". Which is quite appropriate with our butterfly garden. Just watching the amazement in their eyes each day they observed the changes was rewarding. Seeing the teamwork of solving a problem or two with gentle hands was very refreshing. One example was when a chrysalis feel and the students were able to rescue it and mount it properly using scotch tape. This allowed the butterfly to emerge without the wings touching the floor or side. The butterfly was able to fully use its wings and fly off just a few days later. \r\n\r\nPS-I will send another note along with pictures of the students enjoying the other donations that you provided for our classroom.
