The iPad and translation device have made a world of difference for my students who are learning English, as well as for their classmates. While many of us use technology at home for convenience, in our classroom these tools are breaking down language barriers and giving every student a voice.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students the most is the ability to communicate quickly and clearly with one another. Instead of feeling left out or unsure, students can now participate in class discussions, ask questions, and share their ideas with confidence. It has been heartwarming to see their faces light up when they realize they can be understood right away.\r\n\r\nOne student in particular has really blossomed with this technology. Before, she was hesitant to speak in class, but now she uses the translation device daily. She eagerly raises her hand, contributes to group work, and even helps her classmates learn new words in her home language. The technology hasn't just supported her learning—it has boosted her confidence and helped her build friendships.\r\n\r\nYour gift has done more than provide new tools—it has created an environment where every student feels valued and included. Thank you for helping us build a classroom where all voices can be heard.","fullyFundedDate":1746787401724,"projectUrl":"project/words-without-barriers-helping-ell-stu/9295349/","projectTitle":"\"Words Without Barriers: Helping ELL Students Understand and Be Understood\"","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Flanagan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4509423_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723313237506","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4509423"},{"teacherId":9687154,"projectId":9111007,"letterContent":"The math posters have become such an important part of our classroom, and I cannot thank you enough for making this resource possible. When students are completing assignments independently, these posters serve as a guide and a constant point of reference. Many of my students feel more confident tackling a problem when they can glance up and see reminders of the steps or concepts displayed in a clear and simple way. This not only reduces the number of times they feel the need to ask for immediate help but also encourages them to problem-solve and build independence. Over time, I have noticed that they rely on these visuals to check their own work and reinforce what they have already learned. For students who may not always have the confidence to raise their hand or ask a question, the posters act as a quiet support system that helps them stay engaged and motivated.\r\n\r\nThe addition of desk organizers has also been incredibly beneficial for both me and my students. Having a structured system where supplies are neatly arranged allows us to maximize our learning time without unnecessary distractions. Students know exactly where to find the materials they need, and this consistency has created smoother transitions between activities. For myself, having an organized classroom environment has made a huge difference in my ability to focus on teaching rather than constantly managing clutter. It may seem like a small change, but in reality, the impact is huge—organization helps create a learning space where students feel calm, prepared, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nMy main goal this year has been to ensure that my students have a solid grasp of the basics in math. I believe strongly that building a strong foundation is the key to long-term success, and the resources I have been able to provide with your support are making that goal more attainable every day. Whether it is a poster that reminds students of key formulas, a step-by-step outline of a problem-solving strategy, or a simple visual that breaks down a difficult concept, these tools give my students the confidence to believe in their own abilities. I can already see them becoming more self-sufficient and less hesitant to take risks in their work, which is exactly what I hoped for when I envisioned this classroom environment.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not gone unnoticed. Every donation, no matter how big or small, has a lasting effect on the daily lives of my students. They may not fully realize the behind-the-scenes efforts that make these resources possible, but I do, and I am deeply grateful. It is because of your kindness that I am able to provide my students with the tools they need to succeed—not just in math, but in their overall learning journey. Your contribution is helping me create a space where students can thrive academically while also building important skills like responsibility, independence, and perseverance.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in my students and believing in the power of education. Your support is shaping their experiences in ways that will benefit them far beyond this classroom. I am truly appreciative of the impact you are making and I look forward to continuing to watch my students grow, learn, and succeed with the help of the resources you have provided","fullyFundedDate":1741703770284,"projectUrl":"project/equipping-minds-for-success/9111007/","projectTitle":"Equipping Minds for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Allen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9687154"},{"teacherId":9912370,"projectId":9089093,"letterContent":"These materials helped my students learn during math and reading while being away from their desks.
