Donating an iPad to my 8th-grade team has greatly supported our students, especially those who experience device issues. It has allowed them to access assignments, complete online work, and use the digital Spanish textbook whenever needed, ensuring they never fall behind.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the desk organizer has helped me stay organized throughout the school day by keeping materials, papers, and supplies easily accessible. This has improved my workflow and allowed me to focus more on supporting students.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and support—it truly makes a difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1755697729971,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-communication-languages/9290992/","projectTitle":"Tools for Communication Languages","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Allen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9687154"},{"teacherId":9687154,"projectId":9557957,"letterContent":"The magnetic clips for the board help me stay organized by giving students a simple place to return borrowed pencils. Instead of handing pencils back to me directly or leaving them around the room, students can place them back in the clip, which keeps everything neat and visible.\r\n\r\nThe giant paper magnet towel is also extremely helpful because it allows me to clearly display important information—especially test dates. Students can easily see upcoming assessments, which helps them stay prepared and keeps everyone on the same page.\r\n\r\nThe desk calendar helps me stay on top of daily responsibilities, deadlines, meetings, and upcoming events. Having it right on my desk makes it easy to plan lessons, track student progress, and stay organized throughout the week.\r\n\r\nThe clock labels are another valuable tool. They help students sign in and out for the bathroom efficiently, both in 7th and 8th grade. With the labels, students can mark the time they leave and return without interrupting instruction, which keeps the class running smoothly and maintains accountability.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for donating these items to my classroom. The iPad and translation device have made a world of difference for my students who are learning English, as well as for their classmates. While many of us use technology at home for convenience, in our classroom these tools are breaking down language barriers and giving every student a voice.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students the most is the ability to communicate quickly and clearly with one another. Instead of feeling left out or unsure, students can now participate in class discussions, ask questions, and share their ideas with confidence. It has been heartwarming to see their faces light up when they realize they can be understood right away.\r\n\r\nOne student in particular has really blossomed with this technology. Before, she was hesitant to speak in class, but now she uses the translation device daily. She eagerly raises her hand, contributes to group work, and even helps her classmates learn new words in her home language. The technology hasn't just supported her learning—it has boosted her confidence and helped her build friendships.\r\n\r\nYour gift has done more than provide new tools—it has created an environment where every student feels valued and included. Thank you for helping us build a classroom where all voices can be heard.","fullyFundedDate":1746787401724,"projectUrl":"project/words-without-barriers-helping-ell-stu/9295349/","projectTitle":"\"Words Without Barriers: Helping ELL Students Understand and Be Understood\"","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Flanagan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4509423_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723313237506","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4509423"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_91360","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":686,"numTeachers":38,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":38,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":47,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":4,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"18.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":72.6,"schoolId":91360,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about J.L.
