It truly does mean a lot! Our students were so excited to receive the new items and wanted to play with them immediately. Being that we service poverty/low income families, we have a budget that limits us to new toys/supplies, and some of our kids, don't have many toys or supplies at home. For most, the only time they really get the opportunity to access different toys and art supplies are at school. This couldn't have been done without you all, so a big thanks to all of you.\r\n\r\nOur kids love using the baskets to organize the foods by color and love pretending that they are planting a garden. With the curriculum we use, we have a garden study so it goes perfectly with it. They also love to pretend they're at a farmers market. They also love using the vet set and pretending to take care of the sick animals in the center. These items help ignite their imagination and creative thinking skills. The vet set also helps to our Pet Study, where children learn about pets and the importance of taking care of them. \r\n\r\nPlaydoh is always a needed consumable as our classroom goes through it quickly. The kids love making different 3d things with them and using the tools to manipulate the play dough. With the help of all of you, our children have benefited from the donations as it helps promote their social skills, physical skills, creative thinking and language and literacy skills.
