Having the additional games allowed students to work in smaller groups and enjoy time together. Seeing students who do not usually spend time together teacher each other a new game or play a game together was fun to see and a great way to end our week. \r\n\r\nStudents are looking forward to having more time to use the new materials. This will make the longer winter months feel more enjoyable when it is too cold to go outdoors for recess. A few students actually got in trouble the other day because they were rushing in the hall to get to my class so they could use the new stools. Needless to say, we now have procedures in place so that everyone gets a regular chance to use them! \r\n\r\nThis year I have a few students with fairly extreme needs to move. They are bright students and can complete work if their bodies are also engaged. The wobble stools help a lot: they can sway back and forth and use core strength to stay balanced, and that takes the edge off their need to be moving in other more distracting ways. \r\n\r\nI've had students come up with the procedures to determine who gets to use them each day, and that's helped them feel ownership and influence in the classroom. Overall, the addition of the wobble stools has helped in multiple ways. We are so grateful for your generous contribution to our learning environment!","fullyFundedDate":1757683158486,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating/9610893/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kanagy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9713335"},{"teacherId":6111050,"projectId":8736443,"letterContent":"Your donation is so greatly appreciated.
