Whether we are teaching in the classroom or reading aloud during remote learning, it is essential for students to see their lives reflected in the stories they hear. Your donation will help purchase books for my classroom of English Language Learners in the primary grades who come from all over the world into my classroom. My hope is that these books will help instill a sense of pride in each child's home culture. It is so important for students to see characters who reflect their own races, languages and cultures. I appreciate your support in helping to provide my students with books that will be shared as read-alouds for many years to come.
