Speaking of pencils, I was able to provide my students with a set of pencils to use at school and at home for homework that they take home. I personally spend a lot of money on my students to fund our PBIS items because our school district is very much in debt and is unable to provide funding of these types of things. My students all were told that if it was not for the generous donors from Donors Choose, we wouldn't have all of the cool, student-interested items for them to use and take home. Since gaining the items, the 6th grade teachers have noticed an increase in motivation as they see something in the PBIS display case that they want to work towards and be able to earn.
