Because of you, our struggling learners finally have access to hands on math resources that help them see the numbers not just stare at them.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the manipulatives and materials during small group instruction for place value, regrouping, and fraction concepts. One moment that stood out was during a fraction lesson. A student who normally shuts down when she is confused built the fraction model with the manipulatives and said, \"Wait... this actually makes sense now.\" It was the first time this school year she confidently answered a question out loud.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the bins unpacked, their faces lit up. They were immediately reaching for the counters, dice, dry erase boards, and place value blocks. Instead of frustration and tears, we are seeing engagement, problem solving, and my favorite, kids wanting to try again.\r\n\r\nYour donation did not just put supplies in a classroom. You helped create access, confidence, and equity. These resources are giving my most vulnerable learners a way to understand math at their level without feeling left behind.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in them and in their belief that they can learn math. They are so proud to finally feel successful.","fullyFundedDate":1759336671697,"projectUrl":"project/math-it-forward/9478714/","projectTitle":"Math It Forward","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ayersman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9627486_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722910217234","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9627486"},{"teacherId":10192654,"projectId":9628691,"letterContent":"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting our classroom. Your gift means more than just new stools and flexible seating—it means my students feel seen, valued, and empowered to learn in the ways that fit them best. Every child in my classroom has unique strengths, and because of you, they have a space that nurtures their individuality and helps them shine. We are so grateful for the ability to learn comfortably, and my students are absolutely loving being able to work in small group stations while moving freely around the room. That are taking charge of their learning and growing as advocates for themselves. \r\n\r\nYour generosity reminds my students that there are people who believe in their future, and for that, we are deeply grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1755745562809,"projectUrl":"project/pull-up-a-seat-flexible-support-for-gro/9628691/","projectTitle":"Pull Up a Seat: Flexible Support for Growing Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10192654"},{"teacherId":9627486,"projectId":9141589,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous donation, our classroom has been transformed into a dynamic and engaging learning environment through the addition of flexible seating options—including yoga balls, cushions, and clipboards. These resources have not only enhanced the physical comfort of our students but have also positively impacted their focus, collaboration, and overall learning experience.\r\n\r\nStudent Reactions:\r\nThe introduction of flexible seating was met with enthusiasm and curiosity. Students were eager to explore the new seating options, and many expressed excitement about having the autonomy to choose their preferred learning spots. This sense of ownership over their learning environment has led to increased engagement and a more positive classroom atmosphere.\r\n\r\nClassroom Projects and Activities\r\nOne specific project that benefited from the flexible seating was our recent group research assignment. Students utilized the clipboards to take notes while seated on cushions or yoga balls, allowing them to move freely and collaborate more effectively with their peers. The mobility provided by the clipboards and the comfort of the seating options facilitated a more interactive and productive research process.\r\n\r\nNext Steps\r\nBuilding on the success of integrating flexible seating, our next steps involve incorporating these resources into various classroom activities to further enhance student engagement. We plan to implement rotating seating arrangements to encourage adaptability and to help students discover which seating options best support their individual learning styles. Additionally, we aim to gather student feedback to continuously refine our approach and ensure that the flexible seating continues to meet their needs.\r\nYour support has made a significant difference in our classroom, and we are deeply grateful for your contribution. The positive changes we've observed underscore the impact that thoughtful resources can have on student learning and well-being.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generosity and for helping us create a more engaging and student-centered learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1746785427818,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating/9141589/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ayersman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9627486_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722910217234","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9627486"},{"teacherId":9627486,"projectId":8556294,"letterContent":"We've been using the flexible seating chairs to create a more engaging and comfortable learning environment. Students rotate to these chairs during independent work time, and they've made a big difference in helping students focus. One moment that stood out was during a group reading activity—two students using the chairs said they felt more relaxed and found it easier to concentrate on their work.\r\n\r\n\r\nThey were so excited! There was an audible \"Whoa!\" when they saw the chairs for the first time. Many of them couldn't wait to try them out, and we had a great discussion about how these chairs can help us focus better while learning.\r\n\r\n\r\nWe're integrating the chairs into a new classroom routine, allowing students to use them as a reward for hard work or during activities requiring extra focus. It's been great to see how the flexible seating fosters a sense of responsibility, as students take turns using them and respect the new addition to our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1732047279648,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-option/8556294/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating Option","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ayersman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9627486_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722910217234","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9627486"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_91139","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":738,"numTeachers":44,"percentFrplEligible":77,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":81,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"5 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"16.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.1,"schoolId":91139,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Ringgold Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Ringgold Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/pennsylvania/ringgold-school-district/ringgold-middle-school/91139"}
