One activity I used the pom poms and tweezers for, was to make sensory bins where my students practiced sorting colors, tolerating the feel of the rice and pom poms, identifying the colors and counting how many of each color we found. We also welcomed spring by painting with golf balls. Students were able to choose colors of paint to add to their flower. My students had a great time with this activity.\r\n\r\nMy students have independent work areas where they practice mastered skills through their individualized work system. I have added the puzzles and sorting activity to their work bins. By having a variety of materials to add to their work bins, it helps keep students engaged and excited for work time.
