We have the classroom lined with storage space so we can use see all of our physical materials. I ended up using this as an incentive so those kids helped me unbox and build the items.\r\n\r\nNext step are to put all the materials out and label each shelf so our items have a home. We love the sensory sequin piece that increases our regulation and provides needed texture touch. We also love our new carpet that we incorporate into our daily activiites (colors and shape practice). We were very distraught one day when we had to take the carpet out for a good cleaning but luckily, it returned cleaner than ever. These resources provide our students with new opportunities to engage with the material in creative and meaningful ways.
