Thanks to your support, our science experiment-days have transformed into hands-on, inquiry-filled experiences that my 5th graders are able to look forward to. The Lakeshore Meet the Standards Hands-On Science Kits and the Truth or Myth? experiment kits have become a fun way to investigate on our half-days surrounding the holiday season where more students would typically be absent. During one of our first activities, students rotated through stations, using the new materials to test hypotheses, observe reactions, and record data with the Expo markers and fresh class crayons.\r\n\r\nThe excitement when the packages arrived was amazing. Students crowded around as each item was unboxed, cheering when they saw the science kits, posters, and bee-themed scented pencils. Several students immediately grabbed the Earth Science and Life Science posters, eager to hang them on our science bulletin board. Others looked through the science kits, pointing to experiments they couldn't wait to try. \r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, my students have the tools to explore science in a fun way. We are now able to become comfortable in our own environment. Students just took the end of year growth measures and students with little to no growth since 1st grade have jumped 2 or more levels. I can't thank you enough for investing in my vision.
