They are great reflectors of the light from the light & work tables & various manipulatives in that center. The folding Reggio mirror is frequently stationed in the science area too and is often used in conjunction with light table manipulatives and magnifying glasses.\r\n\r\nThe microscope is a much appreciated update to our old one. We love that this can be used independent of a computer screen. It has better magnification and clearer screen. For a while, we weren't able to be it to connect to the computer & Smart Board, which is needed for whole group instruction. Fortunately, this was solved with new USB connectors. Excited to use this with the class now the tech issue is sorted. Spring will have so many things for us to invsetigate!\r\n\r\nThe camera is adorable. We love that it came with a waterproof case. We have a few students who enjoy the challenge of replicating the 3D structures in the accompanying booklet. The animal counters and the dice poppers have been in regular use for both open play during centers and when doing small group work for counting and sorting. We have already nearly used all of these materials in a variety of projects so far. Paint sticks and the glue are our most frequently used materials and we truly appreciate getting these restocked via this project. \r\nThe clay tools from this project made a significant difference when it came to students modeling with clay especially since clay is material that many students are not used to. Thanks to the clay molds, every child was able to successfully make a clay bowl. Truly adaptive tool that made the experience more inclusive for my students who have OT or special needs. \r\nThe slime activator was a great resource when we explored various forms of polymer substances during our 'Mischief Week' in October. We discussed different ways to make slime as well examine physical state; solid, liquid & gas.\r\nThe wall paper paste will be used to stretch paint as well as used in various papier mache projects such as the paper start lanterns 'Parols' that will make this week.\r\nWe plan in the new year to use the polymer clay to make small charms or mini sculptures that children gift to their families. This most likely will be for 'Friendship Day' (Valentines)\r\n\r\nThank you so much for allowing our class community innumerable options to learn through creative expression.","fullyFundedDate":1758805084463,"projectUrl":"project/art-supplies-galore/9749458/","projectTitle":"Art Supplies Galore!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sandra","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6809027_orig.jpg?crop=716,716,x547,y906&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1588797562056","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-andersonbohl"},{"teacherId":8411147,"projectId":9297559,"letterContent":"The students were so excited to receive the High Back Bean Bag Chair and the assortment of fidget toys for the Chill Zone. Accessible, organized storage has helped so much with new students starting every week. The canvas bags have ensure that student blankets are not on the floor nor getting misplaced. I appreciate that I can sit closer to my high needs students, specific those with severe special education needs. I'm more ready and physically available to comfort and deescalate without having to get up and disrupt instructional flow.\r\n\r\nThe clear shelves are great. Easy to clean and discrete. I am slowly working on placement through out the centers. Some are up high for teacher supported use materials such as delicate books and lower for independent access such as clipboards.
