The markers, whiteboards, construction paper, and crayons from the Help My Students Write and Speak Italian project have transformed our lessons into truly engaging and immersive experiences.\r\n\r\nOne of the first activities we did with the new whiteboards and markers quickly became a class favorite: a race-like vocabulary game where students pass small boards around the room to add words from a given category as music plays. The excitement in the room is contagious, and students love the friendly competition while practicing their Italian vocabulary.\r\n\r\nThe arrival of art supplies sparked just as much joy. Students were thrilled when they first saw the colorful markers and stacks of construction paper, immediately imagining the projects they could create. Since then, they've used these materials for posters, illustrated dialogues, and group projects that combine art with language learning. These activities not only help reinforce new vocabulary and grammar, but also give students ownership of their learning in a hands-on, creative way.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will continue using these resources to design projects where students collaborate to create visual \"language galleries,\" bringing Italian culture and vocabulary to life on our classroom walls. This ongoing work helps build an environment where the language feels real, alive, and present every day.\r\n\r\nYour support has not just provided supplies—it has created opportunities for students to experience learning in joyful and memorable ways. The mini whiteboards helped create an environment in which every student participated and engaged in class! \r\n\r\nWhen the boxes arrived at school, I immediately opened them with my students.
