When my students first saw the books and supplies, their excitement was immediate and genuine. Several students couldn't wait to flip through the pages, and for my lower readers especially, having books that feel accessible and engaging has made a noticeable difference. Students who once hesitated to participate in reading time are now eager to choose a book, read aloud, and talk about what they've learned. These materials have helped build confidence and a sense of belonging for students who often struggle.\r\n\r\nThe snacks and basic classroom necessities have also made a meaningful impact on our daily routine. The snacks have become a powerful motivator, helping students stay focused and energized throughout lessons. For many of my students with special needs who often lack access to essential resources—these supports have removed barriers to learning. With fewer distractions and unmet needs, our classroom now runs more smoothly, allowing students to focus on academic growth and positive interactions.\r\n\r\nNext, my students will continue using these books as part of our ongoing reading lessons, including small-group instruction and independent reading time. We are working on building reading stamina, comprehension skills, and a love of learning that will carry beyond the classroom. Because of your generosity, my students are more engaged, more confident, and better prepared to succeed. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to learn and grow together—you truly made a difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1765205094927,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-hungry-minds-help-my-students-l/9898008/","projectTitle":"Fueling Hungry Minds: Help My Students Learn Without Limits","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Valentino","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10351700"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_130859","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":7,"percentBlack":43,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":22,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":null,"schoolId":130859,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Esperanza Academy Charter Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Esperanza Academy Charter Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/pennsylvania/philadelphia-city-school-district/esperanza-academy-charter-school-middle/130859"}
