My students were pleasantly surprised when I first told them about your donations! They got very excited thinking about all of the time they could spend playing games and working with one another on STEM building projects.\r\nThe games were used on the day that we had our school's fall festival, and helped the students to pass the time while also keeping busy. They enjoyed trying out all of the different ones, but UNO No Mercy seemed to be the most popular! These games help students to get a brain break while also teaching them to work cooperatively. Additionally, the stools have been a huge help for small group work at my teacher table. I am able to work closer with students who need the extra assistance with math and reading.\r\nStudents are currently working on earning a game day based on one of our classroom goals. They should be reaching their goal in the next week!\r\n\r\nThanks again for your support. Inside, they found playdoh, desk pets, bookmarks, and calming strips among other items. These items have helped students focus their energy and has allowed them to navigate their emotions through the use of hand-held items like the playdoh and desk pets.\r\n\r\nThe lights around our whiteboards and the light-up trees have helped create a calming atmosphere that feels welcoming and safe for students. This allows students to focus on learning and not any negative thoughts or what may be happening outside of their \"safe space\".\r\n\r\nWe will never be able to thank you enough and I feel that these words will not do our gratitude justice. However, please know that we appreciate every single item donated and use them almost daily.
