The resources helped them visualize ideas that previously felt abstract and made their mathematical thinking more confident and precise.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were genuinely excited — several said it felt like \"real math tools\" rather than just worksheets. I noticed immediate engagement: they leaned in, asked thoughtful questions, and were eager to get started rather than hesitant or overwhelmed.\r\n\r\nNext, students will use these same resources to deepen their understanding of slope, y-intercept, and systems of equations through a project-based investigation. The combination of string lights and lamps gives the room a much more cozy home-like feel. Multiple other teachers have stopped by the room to tell us how much they liked the feel of the room. I've been telling everyone that we were able to get the materials for it thanks to Donors Choose and your generosity.\r\n\r\nStudents were really impressed by the change in mood. They've also been thrilled not to be under the glare of fluorescent lights all the time.
