I am a Special Education teacher of young minds. Alternative seating is one of the most important options I can offer my students. As I mentioned, I thought, who is going to give me all this stuff? I was doubtful. When my project started to get funding, I was in awe, then it continued and I was so excited. When it kept going and was funded, I really could not believe it. I was so very thankful. \r\nWe use our alternative seating at circle time. My kiddos are able to focus better and learn by allowing them to be seated in a way that they are comfortable instead of completely being obsessed with sitting and / or preoccupied and unable to focus. \r\n\r\nWhen we showed these seats to my class, they were so excited. One little girl carried her seat around all day, even to to gym! They all tried out every seat and found what worked for them. They had a blast. It was like Christmas.
