Because of your generosity, 45 students now have access to healthy snacks during the school day, helping them stay focused, energized, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nEvery day, students visit our snack shelf when they need a quick snack to get through the morning or afternoon. Many of our English Language Development (ELD) students come to school without a snack, and having this resource available has helped reduce hunger-related distractions in the classroom. One memorable moment occurred when a student quietly shared how relieved they were to know they could always get a snack if they were hungry. It may seem like a small gesture, but for that student, it made a big difference.\r\n\r\nWhen the snacks first arrived, students were excited and grateful. Their faces lit up when they saw the shelf stocked and available to everyone who needed it. Most importantly, they felt cared for and supported. Knowing that people they have never met wanted to help them succeed was a powerful lesson in kindness and community.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, our students are building English language skills through reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities. Thanks to these snacks, they can spend more time concentrating on learning and less time worrying about hunger.
