Your donation has made an immediate and significant impact on our students, and I am truly grateful for your investment in their education, creativity, and growth.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, students are discovering that their words have power. They learn to persuade, tell stories, make people think, and bring about change. As they work on persuasive essays, create imaginative narratives, and engage in critical thinking, they also take pride in their work and value their unique voices. Your contribution has provided us with the tools to enhance these experiences and create an environment where student expression thrives.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, we now have a document camera that has quickly become essential in our daily instruction. I use it to demonstrate writing strategies step-by-step, making unclear concepts clearer and more accessible for all learners. Whether I'm annotating a passage, modeling a graphic organizer, or showcasing a student's paragraph as an example, the document camera allows for real-time, interactive instruction. Students are more engaged and confident when they see writing in action, and it fosters a strong sense of collaboration and community as they learn from one another.\r\n\r\nWe are also very thankful for the supply of printer ink you helped us obtain. Being able to print student writing for publication and display has greatly boosted student motivation. There's something special about seeing their own words in print. Whether it's on the classroom walls, in writing portfolios, or as part of a bulletin board celebrating their progress, they thrive off this chance for expression. These displays not only brighten our classroom but also remind students that their voices matter and that their hard work is acknowledged and honored.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the classroom organization supplies, including storage bins, paper trays, and supply organizers, have transformed our learning environment into a more structured, efficient, and welcoming space. With everything in its right place, students can concentrate more on their learning and less on distractions. Our routines run more smoothly, materials are easier to find, and students take greater ownership of their learning space. A well-organized classroom truly sets the stage for productive and meaningful work.\r\n\r\nEvery item your donation provided serves a specific purpose, but together they've created a ripple effect that touches every student, every day. Our classroom now feels more dynamic, more student-centered, and more inspiring than ever. You've helped us build not just a space for learning, but a place where students can grow into confident writers and thinkers.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and in the importance of their voices. Your generosity has made a lasting difference, and we are deeply thankful.","fullyFundedDate":1746537227840,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-student-voices-through-writin/9245588/","projectTitle":"Empowering Student Voices Through Writing and Organization","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. SIllings","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7018269_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1695305236444","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7018269"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_44418","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":642,"numTeachers":61,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":49,"percentWhite":32,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"10.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":85.9,"schoolId":44418,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Founders Hall Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Founders Hall Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/pennsylvania/mckeesport-area-sch-district/founders-hall-school/44418"}
